OLD NEWS - Pheasants Forever Hunt - October 2, 2011

We hosted a Pheasants Forever Hunt on our Game Farm. This event was filmed by Angler and Hunter TV with Mike Miller and his crew and it was originally aired Feb. 18, 2012 at 7:00 am. A special feature of the hunt was showcasing the Action Trackchair, which was amazing for hunters who are unable to walk the terrain. www.ahtv.com/episodes/pheasant-hunting

A good turn out for the recent Pheasants Forever Hunt & Fundraiser at our Game Farm. A special feature of the day was the all terrain Action Trackchair to enable disabled hunters to access the hunting areas. They had a great time getting to areas they normally could not access, and watching dogs work and harvesting their birds.	Doug Poirier who was in the Action Trackchair was quite excited about getting out to the fields to watch the dogs work and get hunting. Ian Magee of Pheasants Forever had his young Springer pup, Creena and Mike Wilshire of Ruffwood Game Farm had 4 year old Ruffwood Brittany, Jess. Jess was quite interested in the Angler & Hunter TV crew's camera.

We are also founding members of the Brittany Spaniel Club of Ontario in the late 1970s, and founding members of the Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada in 1988, as well as the Ontario All Pointing Breed Field Dog Club. Mike is the CKC Western Ontario Pointing Breed Representative to Council, and we are both CKC and AKC approved Field Trial and Field Test judges.
